Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Another video from the glory days of the World Industries crew, Tim & Henry's Pack of Lies (a.k.a. Tim & Henry's Promotional Video) was meant to be a quick production to tide everyone over until the next full length Blind video. As a promo within a promo, viewers get a quick glimpse of Brian Lotti, Guy Mariano, and Rudy Johnson each busting out a couple of runs. The main event comes next, with Tim Gavin and Henry Sanchez abusing all the hot spot curbs, banks, and manual islands that you'd expect to see in a video circa 1992. Considering the skaters, it's no surprise that the skating is very technically oriented, with all kinds of flip trick variations and switch stance tricks that were pretty progressive for the time. The whole video clocks in around eight minutes in length (excluding another 3 minutes or so of black screen while Henry's classic rock epic wraps up).

If you want to get a fix on the time frame, think about the Blind Garbage Pail Kids series decks, bearing-cover wheels, and cut-off Blind jeans. Considering the time, the skating is quite good. Kick flips actually *don't* scrape along the ground, and most of the switch-stance tricks are pretty smooth. Tim Gavin provides one of his better parts, with clean, technical runs. Henry Sanchez steals the video though. The guy throws down some groundbreaking tricks at EMB, kills the smaller bank to ledge at Beryl, and wraps up his part with a blast of nearly every manual combination imaginable. Throw in some hip-hop from UMC's (remember them?) and some classic metal and you've got a winner.

In short, this vid is perfect. It’s only about 8 minutes in length, which to me is fine (i.e. Snuff, or any 101 flick.) Although Guy only has a couple tricks, he is incredible (switch bigspin flip down 4) and will always be one of the best. It may not have been the follow up to Video Days that everyone wanted, but Sanch and the Gav are undeniable heroes of this era in street skating and definitely deliver strong with this one. If you can find it, watch Tim & Henry’s.
