Levitate Elevate Trucks
2002, 23 minutes
Current Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars
In a world where truck companies seldom make skate videos, comes Levitate, the first production from Elevate Trucks. Levitate features just about every type of skating except downhill slalom, but who really wants to see downhill slalom in any video nowadays, anyway?! With the exception of Nate Sherwood, the skating comes from many lesser-known San Francisco riders and is backed by a soundtrack of genres a-plenty.

The Music: Horrible. The Skating: Not much better. Are they still better than me? Yes. Number of skaters I’ve heard of: One. Can Nate Sherwood do a normal kickflip? No. Number of pressure flips during Nate Sherwood’s part: Eleventy billion. Was Ray Bartlett’s part filmed with an old webcam? It sure looks like it. Best part of video: The tank running cars over. Best skate part of the video: The montage toward the end. Reasons to watch this video: You have a friend on the team or you are being held at gunpoint.
