Anonymous is the more serious older brother of Benji Meyer’s Shitheads project. Many of the same Midwest up-and-comers are featured, but this time with less goofing off and more getting down to business. Most of the featured spots are in the Midwest, but there are also some recognizable New York and California locations. The soundtrack leans toward the hip-hop side, but there’s still probably something for everyone.

In the opening part of Anonymous we witness the wave of mutilation that is Steve Nesser, Clint Peterson, and Seth McCallum. Elijah Collard’s part serves as a platform for displaying his technical skills. Next up we get off the sidewalk for a while for a montage of park footage. Then everybody hurts in a pretty good bails montage. In some videos the friends section can get boring or disrupt the flow of the video, but that part is strong in here. I’m not just street talkin’ when I say that Neal Erickson and Mike Munzenrider’s part really makes me want to go skate. Emeric Pratt, who shares a part with Ryan Hansen and Rob Sissi, has a unique style that was instrumental in my enjoyment of this video. There’s nothing dated about Chad Benson’s and Dan Jackson’s flips in and out of manuals, slides, and grinds. The fun credits section may even have you up and dancing. All that and the soundtrack’s pretty good too.
