Let It Bleed
1984
2001, 36 minutes
Current Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
1984 is a clothing company that caters to what many call the "heshian" side of skating. Concrete parks and loud, fast skating and music are what this video is all about. It isn't devoid of technical tricks, but they take a backseat to ones of the big and gnarly variety.

Let it Bleed definitely isn't for everyone. If you love pools, transition skating, and punk rock, you will like this film, but everyone else will loathe it. The bulk of this video is skate park and transition skating with big airs off hips, pool carving, and disasters. There is some big rail skating here and there, but the footage is somewhat mediocre. Ricky Espinoza of the Tiltmode Army has a great part with some tech lines and rail skating, but it’s very short. When I saw that Tony Trujillo had a part, I was hyped, but his part is only average at best. All in all, the video has some good park footage (though a little redundant) and some OK skating here and there. The music is intolerable except for the Dinosaur Jr. song. One redeeming factor of the video however, is the Thrashin’ movie footage slipped in here and there. Don't mess with the Daggers!
