Streetskating with Rob & Natas

Street Skating with Rob (Roskopp) and Natas (Kaupas) is an instructional video from the days of big boards, turquoise shirts and pink shorts. Tricks are shown and then repeated in slow motion with a step-by-step account of the motions involved in landing them. Most of the tricks are of the curb, flatground and flat bar variety but there's also a launch ramp section.

This video is dated but that said, it’s still fun rainy day fare and good history. Rob and Natas look like they had a blast making it. Even if the tricks aren’t totally crazy by current standards there are still helpful pointers scattered throughout. Rob and Natas have rad styles and are great pros to learn from. One of my favorite tricks to this day is the no comply and there would be no one better to learn it from than its inventor. There is also a fine how-to section on building a launch ramp. The construction is clearly and concisely explained and when it’s done, the pros rip it up. This would be a fine video for any beginning skater.
