	ArtoSaariRocks St-Bruno, Quebec Canada Anyone Tired Of All The Rap Crap Music In Skate Videos? Topic posted on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 1:25 PM I was just wondering if any other skater shared my opinion... Is anyone here tired of having these lame and boring 10 minute rap songs, that noone ever heard of, in their skate videos !? I mean when u buy a sk8 video and ur really lookin forward to seein ur favorite skater in his new video kill the spots and he ends up skating to this crap song that has no beat and that keeps going on forever! I mean common when u wnna see ur favorite skater skate, u want a good song to go with it! U knw a song that makes u wnna go skate outside, not one that makes u wnna fall asleep!

Jus watch Stevie's section or Rob Dyrdeks section on the DC vid. An the intro to the Deca vid Second To None is set to Outkast an it definately makes it sooooo much better. So shut your mouth bout hip hop ruinin vids. Yeh i admit some hip hop tracks can be shit but so can any emo/rock crap. A good section that's ruined by the music is Ronnie Creager's on What If. Don't get me worng, the guys got mad skills but the music is bollocks. And they're plenty more examples. So Mr Artosaarirocks don't be so quick to pass judgement you bitch. peace

If you give it time and approach it with an open mind, you'll understand why people love it so damn much.

MUSIC is good, no matter what genre, as long as it's quality. I can think of as many videos set to rap that are classics as I can anything else. Think New Deal vids circa 92-93. DA DEAL IS DEAD, Element SKYPAGER, WHATEVER or all the World vids from like 94-95 like NEW WORLD ORDER or 20 SHOT SEQUENCE. The music is there to represent each skaters style. If you've got rap in your head while your skating, you should have it in your part because thats who you is. If you got ENYA on the brain... represent dat shit. So to you guys who say TY EVANS is a genius... tell it to the judge. That guy is ruining vids by picking all the songs and tricks and creating these over-hyped, over-budget family friendly vids that don't represent the skaters musically. Not to mention allowing skaters to talk in their vid parts. But thats a whole other thing.

Hip Hop and skating mix like water and kool aid. I only skate to hip hop, with an occasional rock song. I like when skaters use music i've never heard of thats good. You let the radio control your mind, so it seems. Just 'cause you've never heard of a song doesn't make it a bad song. Hip Hop is good in skate videos. There isn't enough of it nowadays though. Old rock songs are good to. Peace haterz.
